Lily Pad Dishes

"Lily Pad Dishes" were made by creating a clay positive, then using that form to create a plaster mold to cast these four objects. Once they finished drying, I used a sgraffito tool to carve out the veins of the lily pads then proceeded to bisque fire them. After this phase was complete, I used two different types of glazes on each piece to illustrate the swampy yet whimsical visuals I desired, then fired them at Cone 6.
